This was a game the Bucks were ready for, and until
midway through the second half it looked like the
Bucks were going to get their second win of the
season as they led 29-12 heading into the fourth
quarter. Then the Panthers took advantage of two
big penalties on a 4th down play and
scored to make it 29-19. The Bucks could not move
the ball and had to give it back to the Panthers.
Again they took advantage of a penalty on a field
goal attempt and again scored to cut the lead to
29-25. Again the Bucks could not get anything going
offensively and this time the Panthers took
advantage of a fumble. And now they had all of the
momentum on their side and again took advantage of
the West miscue. They scored to make the score
33-29 with still about 4 minutes left in the game.
The Bucks though, still had some fight left in them
as they started a nice drive with a nice mix of
passing by Chirs Gazda and some good running by
Teddy Conrad and Matt Fitz. But the Bucks stalled
on their own 35 yard line and the Panthers ran out
the clock for their first win of the season.
In the first half,
the Bucks dominated the game offensively with a good
mixture of the pass and the run. West got on the
board first with a 1 yard run by Teddy Conrad.
Tennent scored twice to make it 12-7. Then the
Bucks went on a tear, scoring 22 unanswered points.
The first two scores were in what is becoming a nice
combination of Chris Gazda to Palmer Brown. The
first was a 10 yard scoring strike and the second
was a 25 yarder. The West scoring was capped off by
a nice 4 yard run by Ryan O’Kula to give West a
29-12 lead.
