To Coach Felton
and the Central Bucks West Football Community,
I want
to thank you for presenting me with class of 2006 Buck Club
Scholarship. I was very honored to have been chosen as the
one guy who “epitomizes CB West Football.” To the coaches,
thanks for the time, effort, and commitment you gave even
when the chips were piled high against us. Thank you for
keeping us focused on winning and going at it hard every
week. To my teammates, thank you for all the great memories
and thanks for making the year so enjoyable even through the
disappointments. There isn’t a better group of guys that I
would have rather shared my senior season with. To the
parents and football community at large, thank you so much
for your support.
Sincerely,
Rob Russell
A
note to Buck Club members
7/31/05
The Buck Club has been a
great source of fan support for C.B. West Football and also
a financial booster to assist with some of the needed
expenditures that it takes to run a successful high school
program. Buying weight-room equipment, banquet and game
awards and providing a college scholarship fund are just a
few examples of how the Buck Club has helped C.B. West
Football.
The
main source of the Buck Club’s funds has been the annual
golf outing. Unfortunately, there was no golf outing this
year. J.J. Kelso has decided to step aside from running the
Buck Club and we are currently looking for someone to fill
his position. If you would be interested in taking this
position, please contact Sean Kelly, Athletic Director, at
267-893-2527 or SJKELLY@CBSD.ORG. .
The
other purpose of this letter is to ask for your continued
support of the Buck Club this year. Without your continued
support the banquet and game awards and college scholarship
fund will not be given out this year. Please send your check
for the $25.00 yearly dues and /or a donation to: CB West
Buck Club, PO Box 1342, Doylestown, PA 18901. Checks should
be made out to Buck Club.
Thank you for continuing to support C.B.
West Football. GO BUCKS!
Sincerely,
Tracey Smith (Senior
Co-President)

The Buck Club
The
Buck Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising
funds for the Central Bucks West High School football
program. The money is raised through fundraisers and
memberships and is used to help pay for new equipment,
weights, uniforms, food during post-game film reviews,
sports drinks, post-season trophies, and a scholarship to
one deserving player each year.
Members
of the Buck Club include fans, parents, past players and
anyone else that takes pride in contributing to the premier
football program in the state. Memberships are $100.00 for
first-time members; the yearly dues are $25.00. The members
are listed in the C.B. West Football Program, which the
Parents Club puts together.
The
most successful fundraiser each year is the Buck Club Golf
Outing. This year's Tournament will be held on Thursday,
June 20, 2002, at 10 am. The course is Locust Valley. The
cost is $90.00 per golfer; the cost to Sponsor a Hole, which
includes a professionally made sign and a spot in the
football program, is $100.00. The cost for the Tournament
includes the following: A Traditional Buck Club giveaway,
refreshments and hot-dogs on the course, a fully catered
meal after golf, door prizes, awards for golf performance,
golf cart, greens fee, beverages, and good times.
The
contact person for the club is J.J. Kelso, The Buck Club, PO
Box 1531, Doylestown, PA 18901. Phone: 215-340-1445. You can also email at:

From
the 1999 Season
The
"Bucks" storybook season is being made into a
movie. THE SPORT OF WAR, a film by T. Patrick
Murray and Alex Weinress will be finished by next fall.
To promote their project, the filmmakers have opened a web
site. Check it out if you have the time at www.sportofwar.com.
All
West fans can be especially proud by the manner in which
this third straight State Title was won. With injuries
to several key players, the Bucks never wavered and pulled
out the most remarkable and significant victory in the
history of the school.
A good
number of West seniors have indicated a desire to continue
playing football on the collegiate level:

I
want to take this opportunity to thank all the Buck Club
members for their avid support of the West program during
my tenure. Your efforts have helped us maintain the
first-class program. With Mike Carey taking over the
reigns, the West tradition is in good hands and I know you
will continue your enthusiastic support.
