Added...The golf committee has started planning our annual golf event.  This will be held at Five Ponds Golf Course on Thursday June 26th.  This is the first full week off after school has let out.  It has been a very good fund raising event for us and is well supported by the business community and Alumni.  Last year Eagles play by play man Merrill Reese was our guest speaker.  We need members for our committee from the incoming 10th. grade class as well as a few more from the 11th. and 12th. grade classes.  There are many different ways you can support this outing.  You can get golfers to play, sponsors for the tees, door prizes, even breakfast and lunch sponsors as well as a host of other volunteer methods.  The day of the event we will need help with breakfast, registration and overall event operations.  This is one of our better fundraisers over the past two years.  Over the next weeks and months you will hear from us from Email, phone, meetings and web site updates.  Any questions please contact Steve Ruane @ 215-230-0801 or Email Steve Ruane.

Added...This Friday night's home game VS William Tennent (Oct. 12) is our breast cancer awareness night.  The CB West players will be wearing pink wrist bands and we will have "pink ribbon" items for sale at the clothing table.  Also several of Marge Bullock's great action pictures from previous games will be offered in a silent auction.  All proceeds will benefit the "Susan B. Komen For the Cure Foundation."   In addition, we are encouraging all fans to forgo their traditional black and gold and "wear your pink" to the game.  Thank You to all our fans for supporting this great foundation!!!

Added...It has just come to our attention that tomorrow's All Star game is being dedicated to Lt. Colby Umbrell, age 26, who lost his life in Iraq in early May.   Lt. Umbrell played for Coach Greene at CB East.
Prior to passing away in the line of duty, Lt. Umbrell solicited people to donate school supplies and had them shipped over to Iraq.   The Lions Club (who sponsors the All Star Game)  wants to honor Lt. Umbrell by asking everyone who attends the game to bring new school supplies and drop them in the bins that will be at the gates at the All Star Game.   Lt. Umbrell's parents have agreed to bundle up the supplies and ship them over to Iraq.
Any supplies that you can donate will be greatly appreciated and it is a great way to honor Lt. Umbrell for all he did for our country and our community.
Thank you and we will see you at the All Star game.

Added...The CB West car wash on Saturday which benefited "Autism Speaks TM." was a GREAT SUCCESS.  The charity car wash was warmly received by the community, who had nothing but terrific things to say about our 25 team participants (from 9th through 12th grade) who worked, SO HARD, and the charity theme that they chose .  For Autsim SpeaksTM, the C. Added...Gene Rich former player from CB WEST and went to College at Northeastern University has moved on to the professional level. He is now playing for the New England Surge Indoor Football Team. The team is a member of the CIFL League. You can find all about the team and about Gene on the teams website at www.newenglandsurge.com Gene will be playing at Lehigh on June 2. Come out and cheer him on.

Added...On Friday, March 16, the Central Bucks West football team will begin their annual fundraiser, selling the Varsity Gold merchant card.  Each card can be obtained with a $15 donation to the team and is packed full of wonderful offers from our generous Doylestown-area merchants.  Please watch for our players wearing their black and gold Bucks jerseys on Saturday, March 24 as they canvas area neighborhoods with the cards. For more information contact Pam Gazda  at 215-340-

Added...Congratulations to Dave Mastrangelo  who signed his National Letter of Intent to play football for Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut (Division I AA) .   He received an athletic scholarship to attend in the fall.
